Green Bean Bundle Recipe

This recipe is yummy. Sounds crazy but the salty bacon with the sweet brown sugar/butter sauce, is smashing ๐Ÿ™‚

You can substitute canned green beans if you want – I typically keep fresh around as they are easy to find and so versatile.

1 pound fresh green beans, snapped and trimmed. I blanched the fresh beans, then cooled them in an ice bath to stop the cooking process
4-5 slices of bacon, cut in half

1/4 cup melted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp garlic powder

salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9×13″ baking pan.

Wrap 9-10 green beans with the half slices of bacon. Place in greased pan. Continue wrapping all the “bundles” until you have used all the green beans.

Combine butter and brown sugar. Pour over the bundles and sprinkle with garlic powder, salt and pepper.

Cover with foil. Bake 45 minutes.

Walaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

Fit for a king! YUM!

Enjoy!
